Sky Watch Friday

Reflections of Summer

Blue skies and clouds..

Good breezy, cool morning from Denver!
Breezy, but not quite blustery or windy..
and there is a definite nip in the air..
quite a change from the calm..
of yesterdays blue skies and giant puffy clouds..
a cold front has come through,
with rain promised for later today..
so ,, instead of spring cleaning..
I will begin my fall ritual..
changing summery curtains for heavier drapes..
airing and fluffing the winter blankies..
and washing the flannel sheets..
when all THAT is done..
there's winter clothing to exchange for summery stuff
well maybe I'll just wait..
for another rainy day..
am just not ready for winter to arrive..
I haven't had a chance to enjoy Autumn yet!

  1. Beautiful photographs (love the reflections in the first especially) and wonderful poem! I don't know which link to add because I shared Window Views at Sacred Ruminations and Skies with Haiku at Happily Retired Gal this week. Decisions ... decisions ;--)

  2. Lovely Denver photos. Most any place around there you can find great beauty. Colorado is truly a beautiful part of our country, even when it gets too cold.

  7. Hi Lou-beautiful pictures.
I'm not ready for winter yet either. As much as I don't like the thought of giving up summer yet, the fall season does give one a new freshness of change with the crisp air and colors that surround us. enjoy

  9. It's raining here in Texas, and the temperature hasn't risen above 72 degrees all day. This is the first day below 95 in months. Bring.it.on
